Getting a price
3 questionsHow do I get a price?
Text or call 0478 627 643, or email info@twobirdswc.com.au. For a home, send a few photos of the windows and we'll come back to you with a price and a day. For a site after the builders, send the address, your handover date and a couple of photos. For a shop, send its name and street, and we'll reply with a price per visit and how often it needs a clean. A building gets a written quote, with a site visit first if it needs one. Your price is agreed before the first visit.
Do your prices include GST?
Home prices do: from $275 for a single storey and from $440 for a double storey, GST included. Shop prices are shown before GST, from $30 + GST a visit. Every invoice is a tax invoice, so a business can claim the GST.
How soon will I hear back?
Within one working day, by text or a call.
Homes
17 questionsWhy are your prices "from"?
$275 is where a single storey home starts and $440 is where a double storey starts, full inside and outside, GST included. A shop starts from $30 + GST a visit, for the smallest shopfront. Yours depends on the size of the place and how much glass there is, and for a shop, how often it's cleaned.
What's included? Do you do the flyscreens?
Yes. A home clean is full inside and outside: all the glass, sliding doors and upstairs. Cobwebs are brushed off the windows and frames, free unless there's a heavy build-up. The frames, tracks (vacuumed) and flyscreens are included, and the flyscreens are taken out and washed.
Can you do just the outside?
Yes. Outside only, or inside and out: say which in your text and we'll price it that way.
Do you clean glass pool fences and balustrades?
Yes: glass pool fences and glass balustrades, inside and out, plus mirrors and basic shower screens. Pool fences and balustrades are priced on top of a home clean. Mention them when you text and they go into your price.
Can you do the upstairs windows?
Yes. Upstairs glass is part of the price, inside and out. The outside of it is usually done from the ground.
Who will come to my home?
The Two Birds team. Your first visit goes into a profile of your home, so each visit after it is done the way you like. Have us back regularly and it's usually the same team member.
How do you look after the inside of my home?
The pool gate is closed behind us and pets are kept in.
Do I need to be home?
No. Leave us a key or a lockbox code and we'll let ourselves in, so an empty property between tenants is fine. Or we'll agree a time when someone's home, and a partner or a housekeeper can let us in.
Will you post photos of my home?
No. We never post or name your home without your OK.
What happens if it rains?
If rain or wind stops the clean, it moves to the next good day at no charge.
Can you clean before a sale or between tenants?
Yes. If you're selling, or you manage a rental between tenants, text the address, the date you're working to and a few photos of the windows. A key or a lockbox code is fine.
How far do you travel?
Homes anywhere in Greater Sydney, and travel is included.
How often should my windows be done?
As often as suits you: a one-off before visitors or a sale, or a regular clean on a schedule you choose. As a rule of thumb, every three months keeps the glass always clean, every six months it gets a light build-up, and once a year it's a full build-up that needs a full clean.
How far ahead should I book?
In busy weeks, book about four weeks ahead.
How do I pay? Is there a deposit?
By bank transfer or cash, on the day. There's no deposit.
What happens to the photos I send?
Photos you text or email are used to price and plan your job.
Do you clean solar panels or gutters?
No, just windows and glass. We don't do solar panels, gutters or abseiling.
After-build and renovation cleans
4 questionsDo you clean the windows after the builders finish?
Yes. New homes, renovations, extensions and shop or office fit-outs: the glass, frames and tracks cleaned once the builders are done, ready for handover or moving in. Text the site address, your handover date and a couple of photos.
Will the stickers and paint spots come off?
Yes. Labels, stickers, paint spots and silicone come off the glass before it's cleaned, and we take care not to scratch it.
How is an after-build clean priced?
One price for the whole job, on a written quote, GST included. It depends on how much glass there is and what's on it, and it's agreed before we start.
Are you insured for building sites?
Yes, fully insured. Email info@twobirdswc.com.au with what your site needs and we'll come back to you.
Office and industrial buildings
8 questionsHow high can you go? Do we need to book a lift or platform?
Up to about four storeys, all from the ground, so there's nothing for you to book. We don't do rope access, building maintenance units or lifting platforms.
How do you price a building?
With a written quote: one price per visit, GST included. We'll visit the site first if it needs it. The price depends on how much glass there is, how many storeys, how easy the glass is to get to, inside or outside or both, and how often.
Can you come every few months, or once a year?
Yes. Showrooms, play centres, offices and properties with a lot of glass can have a clean every two, three or six months, or once a year. We quote the visit, and you choose how often.
What paperwork can you provide?
Tell us what your contractor register needs when you ask for a quote, and we'll send it.
Do you do site inductions?
Yes. We do site inductions and sign contractor registers.
Do you work after hours or on weekends?
After hours or weekends on request. Ask when you get your quote.
Which areas do you cover?
Office and industrial buildings anywhere in Greater Sydney, and travel is included.
What happens if rain or wind stops a visit?
The visit moves to the next good day at no charge.
Shopfronts
12 questionsHow often should my shop be cleaned?
Weekly for fast food and kitchens where grease gets into the air. Fortnightly for cafes, restaurants, and shops or offices with decent foot traffic or near busy roads. Monthly for hairdressers, beauty salons, and offices away from heavy foot traffic. Text your shop's name and street and we'll tell you what suits yours.
What time do you come? Can it be before we open?
Yes, before you open. The day can move a little: a day either way for weekly visits, two days for fortnightly, and monthly visits come about every four weeks.
What does a visit include? Do you do the inside?
The outside windows and glass doors, the high glass and any cobwebs. The inside glass can be done too, if you'd like it.
Can you reach the sign and the high glass?
Yes. The high glass is part of the visit. Your shopfront frames can be washed and your sign wiped down too, whenever they need it.
Is there a contract or lock-in?
No lock-in contract. You can stop at any time.
When and how do we pay? Do we get a tax invoice?
Regular shops get one tax invoice a month for the visits done that month, due in 14 days, by bank transfer.
What if we need to skip a visit?
Skipping a visit is free. Just text or email us, and the same goes for changing how often we come.
Do I need to be there?
Not for the outside glass: we can do that with nobody there. For the inside, someone can let us in, or you can leave us a key, as some shops do.
Will the first clean cost more?
It can, if the glass is very dirty or has tape or old stickers on it. You'll know the price before we start.
Do you come to my street?
Text your shop's name and street to 0478 627 643 and we'll let you know if we're already nearby.
Can you do a one-off clean for my business?
Yes. A full clean of your glass, inside and out, before an opening, an inspection or a new lease, or any time it needs more than the regular visit. It's priced on your quote: text us a photo of the front.
Can you take painted art, decals or posters off our windows?
Yes. That's our Seasonal and promotional signage removal: painted window art, decals and posters taken off your shop glass, along with any sticker glue left behind. It's priced on your quote, so text us a photo of the window.
